"Best Practices and Tools for Project Portfolio Optimization and Pipeline Productivity" Kerim Tumay
New product development projects in life sciences are complex, expensive, and risky. Resource visibility and the ability to evaluate project portfolio scenarios are keys to managing risk. Yet, most biopharma companies are either “somewhat confident” or “not confident” when looking at 3-year resource capacity forecasts and project plans. Another related challenge is optimizing WIP (maintaining sufficient levels of projects in various stages of the pipeline) while reducing cycle time and cost. These challenges require strategic Project Portfolio Management (PPM) process and tools.
You will learn about the best practices of companies that have mature PPM processes and their keys to success. You will also see a demonstration of how ProModel, a strategic portfolio planning tool, can help you reduce the risk and time of portfolio optimization, and improve pipeline productivity.
